Tom Rosenbauer's Rabbit Foot Emerger is one of his most well-known flies, and for good reason. This pattern can be tied to represent a wide range of bugs, which makes it extremely versatile and a must-have in your fly box. You can tie it extra large to represent drakes, extra small to represent midges, or in any size in the middle to represent all manner of caddis and mayflies. It can be treated with floatant and fished high on the water's surface, or without to imitate bugs that are emerging or stuck in the surface film. Below we have listed the materials for tying a sulphur variation, but you can tie it to imitate any other mayfly, caddis or midge you want.
