A highly effective orange tag variation with a pheasant tail body — one of the best nymphs I’ve ever used for large rainbow trout.
It imitates nothing in particular yet seems to represent everything a trout wants to eat. I typically fish it on the point in heavier sizes, or as a dropper in lighter versions when Euro nymphing both in New Zealand and abroad.
