I am a full time fly fishing guide and pro tyer based in the North West of Ireland where I guide on Lough Arrow, Erne, Melvin and Glencar lake. Fly fishing and fly tying has been a strong passion of mine since a very young age. I am from a family of fishermen and as they say it’s in my blood. A big part of my childhood was spent chasing brown trout and salmon on the Garavogue river in Sligo, where I caught my first brown trout on one of my own flies and I was literally hooked from that day on.
On my fly fishing journey I represented my country on an international level and also guided and tyed the winning flies for the Irish team which helped them achieve a gold medal on Lough Melvin in June 22. I love my job.
