Most food sources in rivers are relatively similar, with caddis - in all it's guises - being the most prolific. This Olive Grub pattern designed by Kieron Jenkins imitates a caseless caddis perfectly and has been a best selling pattern for many reason, but most importantly, it simply catches fish. The addition of the red collar lends itself to be used in coloured water with great effect. Use this fly on the point or dropper of a euro nymphing setup in the larger sizes, or in the smaller sizes it can be easily fished under an indicator.
