A very passionate fly fishermen and fly tyer from South Wales, United Kingdom.
Fishing started almost 30 years ago as a young boy fishing on my local wild brown trout river and fly tying came a few years later and has been a big part of my life ever since.
These days, I fish for an array of species from Wild brown trout and grayling on rivers around the UK and wild Llyns of Wales. I also enjoy salt water fly fishing for Bass, but my real fix comes from fishing for sea trout at night. The romance and mystery surrounding the Sewin (sea trout) combined with being on the river at night it grips me like a drug.
Fly tying has also become a big part of my life, I recently featured on the “Tyers Row” at the British fly fair International and will be tying at various shows around the country this year. I also contribute regularly to a few fly fishing publications with the most recent being the Fly fishing Journal.
I recently completed my level 1 coaching certification through 1st4sport and angling trust and now I am currently working towards a level 2 with a view to becoming a full time fly fishing guide.
