Phil Ratcliffe has been fly fishing for more than forty years, with a deep-rooted passion for rivers and their classic quarry — grayling, trout, and salmon.
His skills extend across all areas of the sport, from casting to carp and pike on the fly, and even saltwater adventures both in the UK and abroad.
Based in Cheshire, Phil represents a new generation of dedicated fly-fishing instructors.
He holds the prestigious APGAI (Advanced Professional Game Angling Instructor) qualification in both single- and double-handed disciplines, as well as the Masters (MCI) and Two-Handed Masters (THMCI) certifications from Fly Fishers International (FFI) — credentials that demonstrate his exceptional skill and commitment to the craft.
Phil’s international reputation and expertise have earned him endorsements from some of the industry’s leading brands, including Sage, Rio, and Redington, where he serves as an International Pro Guide.
His many years of on-water experience, combined with his technical mastery, make him an outstanding ambassador for modern fly fishing.
