I am the creative force behind Alchemy Fly Tying . My passion for fly fishing began over 30 years ago in and around Dundee on the East Coast of Scotland, where in time i was introduced to Loch style" trout fishing. At the same time, a great friend and fishing mentor encouraged me to get involved in the intricate and creative world of fly tying.
I specialize in UK still-water trout and wild brown trout fishing and tie flies for both river and loch style. Over the years I've tied flys for some of the UK's top competitive anglers who have used my patterns both at home and abroad at the highest level.
At AFT I believe that quality and choice of materials are major sources of inspiration, leading to innovative design. Traditional patterns and techniques with a modern twist ensure every pattern has earned its place in the competitive and casual angler's fly box.
