Lisa Isles
Fly Fishing Addict
Lisa started fly-fishing at the age of 10 when after years of pestering her Grandads and Dad to show her how to cast, little did she know…she was about to become an addict of fly-fishing forever!
After 3 years of fishing, she entered the England Youth National Qualifier where she competed against 60 male anglers from ages 12-18…to gain a place on the England Youth Team. With the help and support of her parents and friends Lisa qualified for the team and came 4th in her first ever competition. Since then, Lisa has represented the England Youth Team several times including 3 Internationals and 3 World Championships. Her last World Championship where she competed was in Pennsylvania and she successfully captained her team to win Bronze medal.
Since finishing 6th form, Lisa decided to travel to New Zealand and Australia to find more out not only about herself, but to see new places and meet new people. The avid adventurer traveller was discovered within and she has since travelled to destinations such as Norway and Bosnia…all to do with fly-fishing of course.
With plans to be a successful fly-fishing guide not only within Europe, you will be able to find Lisa organising trips to places like the Czech Republic and Norway. She is also a very keen fly-tier for typical Trout and Grayling flies, but is also discovering the Salmon side of the spectrum. Lisa is also an Ambassador for the Angling Trust and has future plans to look deeper into the conservation side of fishing.
