As a still water and reservoir expert, there is no better angler to give you an insight on what trout patterns to use at Draycote water. Many of Rob's fly patterns and ideas can be found throughout the Fulling Mill trout fly range.

- Early season trout fishing at Draycote is a game of two halves, you'll either be buzzer fishing or pulling lures so ensure you have a decent selection of both...
- The Washing line is a deadly method at Draycote, as it is on many other water. I like to fish a team of 'natural' patterns such as crunchers, hares ears and damsel patterns. Ensure you use light tippet for more takes!
- After heavy late season rain often the water colours up, fish large black lures to provoke a take. Nymphs and dries will also catch fish late in the season.
